On-Demand: FAQ
What is Video On-Demand?
AWCA-TV has implemented the ability for viewers to see locally
produced shows through your computer! You may view these shows at
any time from anywhere that you have an internet connection. There
is no charge and the video is streamed directly to your computer's
browser.
What shows can I see online?
You will be able to view all programming that we currently film.
That includes all Government (selectmen meetings, school committee
meetings, etc.), Educational (school sports, concerts, etc.), and
Public programming. Sports games will begin to be uploaded after the
season is over.
Are these shows also available on the Cable Channels?
Yes, most of these videos are
available on the cable channels, however they are most likely only
recent programs. You can check the programming schedules on our
programming page
to see what shows are being played and when.
How do I access Video On-Demand?
You can click on our Video On-Demand link under 'programming'. You
can find all our videos starting in 2012 in our TelVue PEG.TV
player.
Why is the video quality for VOD much lower than the quality on my
TV?
Because our programs are frequently quite lengthy, the files must be
compromised in quality in order for the file sizes to be smaller, to
be eligible for upload onto the website we use. If you
would like a copy of a program in its clear, original format, they
can be purchased from us directly, or you can check our programming
schedule to see when it will be run on your TV at home.
